This programme is ideal for any dog owner looking to dive into the wonderful world of trick training, whether you’re just starting out or you’re already trick masters in the making! Tricks range in difficulty level - some are perfect for beginners while others will take a little longer to perfect and require a few more foundational skills first.
Each lesson ranges from 5-20 minutes. Little and often is great for trick training. It’s all about having fun and getting the foundations right before you move on, so expect to spend several sessions working on each trick.
This course will provide you with the step-by-step learning that will allow you and your dog to accomplish a whole range of tricks, deepen your relationship and learn powerful skills and concepts that will complement your everyday training. From boosting your relationship with your dog and providing mental stimulation to growing your skills as a trainer and honing your mechanics, there are so many awesome benefits to trick training. Tricks can boost your dog’s confidence, build their focus and engagement with you, improve their body awareness and grow immense value for proximity.

No, prior training experience is not required. The course is designed to be accessible for all dog owners, regardless of their previous experience with dog training. However, there are some important layers and foundations it will be important to have in place before you dive into the precision and detail of many of the tricks in this course, so if you’re brand new to the world of Absolute Dogs, the Sexier Than a Squirrel Dog Training Challenge is a brilliant introduction to games based concept training.
It’s really important to understand that not every trick is necessarily going to be right for every dog. Age, breed and physical condition may mean some tricks are not appropriate for your individual dog. We discuss the suitability of particular tricks within the video lessons. If in any doubt about the suitability of any trick for your dog’s age, breed or physical condition, seek the advice of a qualified professional.
