Your dog should not have access to your front door (or your chosen point of entry to the house). They should have a safe space well away from the action to chill out and wait while you let your visitors in and get them settled – then, and only if you choose to allow it, can your dog come out to be on a boundary or greet your guests.
Be your dog’s BEST advocate, set them up for success around visitors and only ever place them in situations they are COMFORTABLE and CONFIDENT in to ensure the very best of success!
